Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NewDay USA.
Business Analyst
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It involved five rounds in total. The main focus was on questions about managing and tracking the work of third-party departments, requiring good communication skills. Interestingly, after completing these five stages, I never heard back from my recruiter, even after sending a follow-up email.
- Did you complete a basic math test?
- How would you coordinate with the credit analysis department?
- What's your process for creating a weekly briefing?
Business Analyst
The whole thing took around 3 weeks. The recruiter was super helpful, calling me after each interview. I had 3 interviews in total: a phone screen, then an initial chat with the recruiter, and finally, I met with a Senior VP. About a week after that, the recruiter let me know I got an offer.
- Can you share a time when you experienced failure?
Business Analyst
It was awful. I had to wait in the lobby for about 30 minutes after my arrival time. FOX news was playing loudly throughout the office, which felt like propaganda. They took up my whole day by having me meet the same people multiple times without being organized. Then, they gave me a two-hour math test at the end. There's very little diversity in the office, and it was clear they weren't interested in people of color or females.
- Are you conservative?
