First, there was an HR phone screen, then I talked to a manager. After that, I was given a data analysis assignment which I then presented to a team. The people were nice, but the role wasn't exactly what I was looking for since it was adjacent to my career goals.

So first, you'll usually have a quick chat over the phone or video. After that, you'll probably have a few more chats with people on the team to really get to know you. They'll ask stuff like, what would you do in this situation and questions about your past jobs to see if you've got the skills and if you'd fit in. Sometimes, you might have to talk to a whole group of interviewers at once, or maybe even some big bosses at the end before they decide to offer you the job.

We started with a screening call where they asked basic questions about my resume, the company, and my future plans. Then, I had a round with the Hiring Manager where we delved deeper into my resume. Finally, there was a technical screening which involved a hands-on C# challenge and then an Angular challenge in an online Angular environment. They allowed me to use Google during the challenge, just like I would at work.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • They asked a C# challenge about strings, it wasn't complicated.
  • An Angular challenge to make a button and submit action, plus some bonus questions.

I applied in August 2023 and heard back about a month later in September for a phone interview. It was a good chat, they asked about me and my experience, and told me about the company and the internship. Then, I was moved to a virtual interview in October with 2 recruiters. It was okay, they asked some of the same questions and then some more relevant ones. After that, I got ghosted for a bit until I reached out. No response came, and eventually I got a rejection email.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • What are your aspirations for this role and how do you see them connecting to your broader career path?
  • Describe how you would handle a situation with a colleague who is not responding.
  • If you've planned your day for specific tasks but your manager assigns a high-priority task, how do you proceed?
