Behavioral Case

Got an email about a week after applying to schedule an interview for the following week. They asked stuff like: What do you know about Nandos (history)? Relevant experience? What makes you a good fit? How do you deal with difficulties? Customer scenarios e.g. what would you do if...? Hobbies. They seemed to be checking your sociability and friendliness throughout. I'd say really show off a confident and bubbly attitude. If successful, a trial shift was set for the end of the week. Had to wear all black and suitable shoes. The shift was about an hour, working on 1-2 stations with a full-time employee. My experience was on the front grill and some basic customer interaction. Got a call 3-4 days later confirming employment and giving me documents to review and submit. First shift was around 7 paid hours for paperwork and policy training. It's a friendly, patient environment with good flexibility, training, and perks. It's more professional than other fast food jobs I've had. Just don't be late or sick 'cause they're strict, especially in the first 4 weeks before your contract is final. It's pretty fast-paced, stressful, and can be cramped sometimes.

Behavioral Group

It was a chill group interview. You just gotta jump in and show you can do it. They asked some basic skill questions that you can answer by talking about your experience, whether that's from jobs, volunteering, or school. They're looking to see if you can work well with others but also handle tasks on your own when needed, without needing a lot of oversight.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I had an initial call with the hiring manager/recruiter and then chatted with the head/lead engineer. Things felt good in the first stages, pretty relaxed and comfortable chats, and they said I'd get a tech challenge. I had to chase them up to get the tech challenge sent over. Then, I had to chase them up a couple of times for feedback. When I finally got the feedback, it was pretty weak – seemed like they didn't really put much effort into it, mostly focused on code style instead of the actual implementation. Didn't move on to the next stage.

Behavioral Technical

I interviewed for the Reward Coordinator position at Nando's. First, I had a chat with the recruiter, Kate. It was a relaxed conversation where she talked about the company culture and role details. Then, I had an interview with Kate and the line manager. This was more about the technical parts of the job and the skills needed. I didn't move forward, but Kate called me afterward to explain why, which was good. She was transparent and kept the door open for future roles.
