It was a chill group interview. You just gotta jump in and show you can do it. They asked some basic skill questions that you can answer by talking about your experience, whether that's from jobs, volunteering, or school. They're looking to see if you can work well with others but also handle tasks on your own when needed, without needing a lot of oversight.

The Nando's hiring process is laid-back and casual. It starts with submitting an online application. Then, there's a group activity where they check how well you work with others. Finally, you'll have a one-on-one chat that looks into your personality, how you handle customers, and if you're really into the brand.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I dropped my cv in store to the manager and told them about my availability. The next day they rang me and asked me to come in for an interview. When I got there they asked standard questions like why I would like to work at Nandos, what I liked best about Nandos and what skills I already had that would help me in the job, and what I would do if a customer complained. It wasn't too difficult, just a relaxed chat for about half an hour to 40 minutes where we discussed my availability and payment. The manager did most of the talking. A week later, I was called in for a trial shift on a busy Saturday night for 4 hours. I got there, they explained Fire safety, gave me a shirt and paired me with a colleague who was working on the floor. She was really nice and showed me everything and let me follow her as she served customers. After about 45 minutes, she let me work by myself. I was collecting plates, checking if everything was okay, refilling the self-service desk, and other standard tasks. Then I moved to the tills which was harder, but I always had someone with me which was great. I got a call a week after that and they told me to come in for a second interview. This was basically to check if I wanted the job and to discuss my trial shift and arrange my training week. It was not hard at all!
