First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Miniso.
Sales Associate
I got a call about 1 to 2 weeks after I sent in my resume. The ASM texted me first to see if I was free for an interview before they called me on the phone. They asked some easy questions about my experiences, my sales background, how I solve problems, why I wanted to work at this particular store, and what my schedule looked like. After the interview, they mentioned I'd hear back about the results the beginning of the next week, but I didn't hear anything until the end of that week. The day I found out I got the job, they called and asked if I could start right away, which I couldn't. I had to wait until after my first week was over to get the official paperwork.
- What are your thoughts on resolving conflict with a colleague?
Human Resources Business Partner
First, you gotta submit your resume and cover letter, either online or give it to a recruiter. Then, HR will look at it to see if your background fits the job. After that, there's usually a phone or video chat with an HR person to talk about your history, what you wanna do in your career, and why you're interested in MINISO. Next up, you'll have a more detailed chat with the person you'd report to. This is where they dig into your technical skills, experience, and how you'd deal with tricky work situations. They might ask for proof of past wins or how you solved problems. Lastly, for some higher-up jobs, you might meet with top execs or a group of people. This part is all about your big-picture thinking, leadership abilities, and if you'd vibe with the company culture. They'll probably ask how you'd help the company get bigger.

I found this opportunity on LinkedIn and HR messaged me on WhatsApp to set up an onsite interview. The interview was really short, just ten minutes. The interviewer just looked over my resume with me. I got the feeling they weren't that interested. They said I'd hear back the next week, but I never did.
