First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Miniso.
Sales Assistant
The interview process was pretty simple. They'll ask you some questions to gauge your interest in joining. The most crucial part is building customer connections. There will be a 30-minute trial to see how well you connect with customers. You don't need to be an expert on the products; just greet customers warmly and try to start a friendly conversation to understand their needs. They might also ask about your favorite Miniso product, the reasons behind it, and how you'd suggest it to a customer.
- In your view, what are the most important customer service values?
- Could you share your favorite Miniso product and explain your reasons for liking it?
- How would you go about recommending your preferred Miniso product to a potential customer?
Sales Assistant
It was a group interview that lasted about an hour. They made the atmosphere really comfortable. We did a short introduction and then answered a question about our shopping experience at MINSO, what we bought, and what we know about their products. After that, there was a role-playing part where two people in a group would act out a situation, one as a customer and the other as a sales assistant, dealing with things like complaints or refunds. Finally, there was a question for HR. The interview itself was good, but I never heard back. The interviewer mentioned an email within a week about the results, but I never got one even after sending two follow-up emails.
- Can you share a shopping experience you had at MINSO, whether it was good or bad?
- What specific items did you purchase?
- What is your understanding of our products?
Sales Assistant
I had an initial call to set up the interview date, and they mentioned it would be a group interview. On the interview day, there were 11 applicants. We were asked to find out details about the person next to us and then present them. Then, we were given a Miniso product to sell and present. Following that, there was a 15-20 minute 1:1 interview for each person. After all the 1:1 interviews, 4 out of the 11 applicants were selected for the second round. The second interview was a 1:1 with the manager, where they asked basic questions and explained the job details. They said they'd contact me in 1-2 weeks about training.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell me about your prior work experience?
- What's the reason you left your last job?
