Validation Engineer
First, there's like a 1-hour screening where they ask a bunch of questions and want super short answers. If you pass that, then you have 4 interviews, each 45 minutes long, with different people. The interviews were pretty standard difficulty-wise, but it was annoying that two interviewers didn't show their faces. It took them more than a month to get back to me with a rejection because the hiring manager was apparently ghosting the recruiter.

Digital Designer
For the Digital Designer role, there's at least one technical interview, lasting about 45-60 minutes, done over phone or video. We cover core digital logic stuff like latches vs flip-flops and when to use them, also timing issues, counters, FSMs, adders, and muxes. Timing is a big topic: we discuss setup and hold time, what causes violations, how temp/voltage affect things, metastability, and basic CDC, plus how to spot setup-time problems in a chip. We also look at HDL and RTL coding in Verilog/VHDL for simple blocks (like D flip-flops, counters), and the difference between blocking vs non-blocking assignments, continuous vs procedural assignments, and basic synthesis. Sometimes, even for a digital role, they ask about basic analog/CMOS, like CMOS inverters, simple gate schematics with PMOS/NMOS, NOT gate transfer curves, and power in resistors.
- Can you describe the setup and hold time requirements for a flip-flop? What are the consequences of violating these times, and what methods would you use to identify and resolve such issues in a practical design scenario?
Software Developer
I applied for a low-level driver developer job through the company website. Round 1 was a written test with about 60-100 questions covering C bug-finding, electronics, networking, RTOS, microcontrollers, number conversions, and a little bit of aptitude. There were also 3 coding problems that were focused on string manipulation and bit masking.

Finally, they touched upon the concept of cache memory.
