First, you gotta apply on the Micro Focus website or wherever they say. Make sure your resume and cover letter really show off what you can do for the job. If they like your application, a recruiter might hit you up with an email or a call to chat about your experience and why you're interested. If that goes well, you could be looking at a phone or video call with a recruiter or hiring manager to dive deeper into your background and skills. For some roles, they might throw a technical assessment or coding challenge your way to see how you handle stuff, could be online or in person. And for certain jobs, especially if they need special tech or know-how, they might have you come in for an on-site interview where you could do technical and behavioral chats and meet the team.
- Can you detail your background with [specific technology/tool/programming language]?
- Describe your strategy for troubleshooting a difficult problem within a software application.
- Tell me about a tough technical challenge you successfully overcame in a past position.
Solutions Architect
It was a 4-stage process. Started with a recruiter call, then a Zoom call with the hiring manager. After that, I had a Zoom call with some team members. The final stage was an in-person meeting with the hiring manager and team where I had to give a platform presentation and answer questions. They asked technical questions about the platform to see how I'd handle them. Then there were two more calls to go over next steps and talk about pay.
- Considering the market is very competitive, how would you present our portfolio?
- How would you handle technical questions about the platform?
- How would you respond to technical platform questions?
