Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Micro Focus.
Software Engineer in Test
The interview process involved several steps. First, there was an initial meeting with HR. Following that, an interview was conducted with some basic questions, along with a test assignment. Finally, a technical interview concluded the process. The whole experience was quite quick and straightforward.
- What's an efficient way to search text files on Unix systems, and which command-line tool would you use?
Senior Software Engineer in Test
It was a walk-in interview, a really nice experience. There were 3 rounds with good, basic questions. I completed all interview rounds plus an HR round on the same day. Just make sure everything is perfect and correct when you accept the offer letter.
- What are HTTP status codes?
- Can you explain the difference between REST and SOAP?
- Do you have experience with Selenium WebDriver questions?
QA Automation Engineer
I got a call from HR as my profile was shortlisted for QA Automation. They were okay with the Salary I demanded. I cleared all the 3 technical rounds. Later the Higher Manager asked me to join in really low package. I followed up with HR about the same, he kept on saying that he will let me know but he never called by himself. Lastly I called and asked clearly, then he said that manager is not Okay to give the salary I demanded. If the company don't have budget to pay then plzz dont schedule the interviews and waste time of candidate. Worst Interview Experience.
- Tell me about your experience with Linux Commands.
- What is your experience with Selenium?
- Can you discuss your knowledge of Java?
