First, you gotta apply on the Micro Focus website or wherever they say. Make sure your resume and cover letter really show off what you can do for the job. If they like your application, a recruiter might hit you up with an email or a call to chat about your experience and why you're interested. If that goes well, you could be looking at a phone or video call with a recruiter or hiring manager to dive deeper into your background and skills. For some roles, they might throw a technical assessment or coding challenge your way to see how you handle stuff, could be online or in person. And for certain jobs, especially if they need special tech or know-how, they might have you come in for an on-site interview where you could do technical and behavioral chats and meet the team.

It was a smooth process with 2 technical rounds, a manager round, and an HR round. They made me wait for compensation review and then went silent. When I followed up, they told me to wait. After two days of waiting, they finally said there was a hiring freeze. The HR person was very secretive about compensation, wanting me to accept the offer without full details. They made me feel guilty for asking about my desired salary and joining bonus, discouraging me by saying I might not have a job after the economic downturn if I pushed for more. While a smooth process is key and I'm okay if expectations aren't met, being unprofessional is not good at all.

  • Write code for linked list sorting, focusing on time complexity.
  • Can you explain Java design patterns?
  • Describe how you approach handling complex production issues, deployments, and problem-solving.
