I spoke with the VP, and it felt less like a chat and more like they were trying to catch me off guard with questions. I explained that to sell a new system, you first need to understand it yourself, including its pros and why it's better than what they have. Only then can you talk to stakeholders and ease their worries. Apparently, that wasn't the answer they wanted to hear. The recruiter told me I didn't have the 'right personality.' I also sent a thank-you note, but they never responded. Looking back, I'm glad I didn't get the job. If asking to understand the product before pushing it is the wrong personality, then that team wasn't for me.

I was contacted by a senior person at the company about a new role they were creating. The interview process was messy and took two months, with 5 interviews total. Two interviews got cancelled and rescheduled last minute. I also had to do a presentation. I did get an offer, but it was for 60% less than I asked for initially, and they wanted me to pay for hotels for 2-3 trips to NYC per month. It was frustrating to go through so much when they weren't even close to my salary needs.

I had a phone screen first and then they offered me a virtual interview. So I interviewed with two women. The first one seemed like she just wanted to get it over with. She wasn't making eye contact, was fidgeting, and looked disheveled. Her background was blurred, so it felt really informal, and her behavior was agitated. The second interviewer was nicer, but she said the position wasn't really defined yet and you didn't necessarily need experience in billing for it. I thought I would be good for the role since I have billing experience, but it felt disorganized. The first interview really turned me off, so I didn't want to continue.
