It began with a recruiter call to check my background, see if I was a good fit for the job, and confirm my availability. After that, I had one meeting with the hiring manager. We talked about my past projects and how I've used SQL, Excel, and Tableau to tackle business challenges. Then, there was another round where I did a short technical test covering SQL and basic analytics, and also answered some behavioral questions about working with people and managing my workload.

I am posting this review because the organization tried to hide my previous one. People should know how they keep candidates waiting and don't respect them. I interviewed for the PNL Lab at MGH and after a week of interviews with different team members, I got a biostatistician offer. I was excited to join but then there was no consistent communication about the role, start date, or official offer letter. I waited over 3 months for an official offer letter (which never came) and kept checking in with the PI and project manager, and I sensed confusion. Even if we agreed on a verbal start date, they shouldn't string candidates along. The labs there don't offer salary negotiation, which is bad given the cost of living in Boston. MGH needs to improve and treat candidates with the respect and pay they deserve. I wouldn't recommend MGH or the PNL Lab.

They ask about your strengths and weaknesses and what pay you expect. Then they tell you at the end. The advertised pay is only for people with 20 years of experience; the real pay is minimum wage. It's a bait and switch. I want my money back for the test and everything from getbadged. Everything listed is fake. When you call the departments, they are not hiring at this time or they want you to have 20 years of experience to get paid a real wage.

The interview process was really nice. I spoke with a manager and a director who were both friendly and gave me plenty of time to ask my own questions. We discussed the research project's goals, the team's work culture, and patient care. I got an offer for an interview two days after applying. I had two interviews over two weeks, all on Zoom. Unfortunately, after that, I never heard back even after following up.
