I was contacted via my Naukri profile for an apprenticeship program. The process starts with a telephonic round where HR will ask about Pivot tables and VLOOKUP. The first round is an HR round, followed by a second round which is a technical round.
- Can you explain what a Pivot table is?
- Can you explain what VLOOKUP is?
- Could you tell me more about the project you worked on?
Software Engineer
3 Rounds total: 2 technical rounds and 1 Hiring Manager round (which included tech + manager aspects). The first round focused on DSA, Django, Python Basics, Code Fundamentals, SQL, AWS, and Azure (tailored to your experience). The second round covered Caching basics, LRU Cache implementation, Tree concepts, and LLD for classes. The third round involved a deep dive into your past company projects, with a less common chance of also having 2 DSA questions.
- Questions on DSA, Django, Python Basics, Code Fundamentals, SQL, AWS, and Azure based on your experience.
- Questions on Caching basics, LRU Cache implementation, Tree Discussion, and LLD Discussion on classes.
- Discussion about Past Company's projects and potentially 2 DSA Questions.
Senior Product Manager
I went through a 5 round interview process. The interviewers were nice and knew their stuff, but HR was a mess. They didn't communicate well. For example, for the onsite round, I had to book my own travel and didn't get reimbursed for two weeks after chasing them, even had to escalate to an exec. They also asked for sensitive docs like Aadhaar and salary slips way before any offer, which was weird, especially since they weren't offering competitive pay. Then, the HR person went on leave for 20 days without a backup, and I got no responses to my calls, emails, or texts. Another HR person finally got in touch but was slow with updates. After another 10 days, they said the role was on hold. When the original HR returned, no real explanation was given, just that the role was unclear. So, I withdrew my application.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- Describe your approach to product design.
- What's your understanding of product sense?
Data Operations Engineer
We usually start with a quick chat to see if you've got the basics covered and if you'd fit in. Then, it's usually a technical test, maybe some SQL, data stuff, or charts, to check your analysis skills. After that, you'll probably have a few chats with the team about the tech stuff, like how you'd do analysis, tools you know (Excel, Python, Power BI), and projects you've worked on. Sometimes we finish with a chat about how you work with others, like communication and teamwork, before we decide and make an offer.
- Can you answer some fundamental SQL questions?
- Can you solve some SQL-related problems?
