First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Innovaccer.
Data Analyst
The interview was pretty simple and mostly about SQL. They asked questions about writing and understanding SQL queries, like basic data retrieval and filtering. We talked a lot about common SQL operations and how to use them in practice. It was straightforward overall, with the main focus on SQL stuff.
- Can you tell me why you think you're the right fit for this role?
Data Analyst
My First Round was a telephonic round where they asked me about projects I have done. Then the interviewer asked some questions on SQL, Power BI and Excel and Python, and how I use them in my daily activities. Next day I was informed that I need to appear for a face to face interview. In the first round, again I was tested on my SQL skills. Also I was asked to write a few basic programs on SQL. Last Round experience was the worst. The Interviewer was not at all interested to take the interview. He asked me to introduce myself and while I was speaking he was scrolling down his phone. He just asked me a single question i.e. How my joins are in SQL and explain to them, which I answered correctly. After that, he said that I am done and walked out. It seemed that he was not even interested to hire for the position and was just doing a formality. No Professionalism at all Not sure why companies don't realise that they are hiring humans who deserve to be treated with respect atleast.
- Can you tell me the difference between a Primary Key and a Foreign Key?
- What's the distinction between a View and a Materialized View?
- Explain the necessity of facts and dimensions.
Data Analyst
The interview process kicked off with a screening round on Hackerrank, which included 2-3 medium SQL questions. This was followed by a Technical Interview, lasting about an hour, with a Lead Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst, focusing on my resume and the job's required skills. Next, a Managerial Interview was conducted by a Manager or Director, who delved into my resume, job tasks, and related experiences. Finally, there was an HR round where I met with HR to discuss company values and behavioral aspects.
- In the technical interview, they mainly asked SQL questions, with very little Python.
- In the Manager Interview, they asked about the job roles listed on my resume and discussed challenges and solutions related to them.
- The HR interview involved questions about company values and other HR-related topics, such as whether I had any relatives working at NAB.
