Senior Backend Engineer
First, there's a short intro HR call (15–30 min) to check role fit, location/timezone, salary range, availability, work authorization, and a quick background overview. Then, a technical interview dives deep into skills and problem-solving, covering .NET/C#, architecture, databases, async/concurrency, testing, and potentially a live coding or take-home task with code review. The hiring manager interview focuses on your work style: ownership, communication, priorities, delivery under constraints, teamwork, leadership/mentoring, and handling real scenarios, plus alignment with the product and expectations. HR follows up on logistics and alignment, discussing compensation, benefits, start date, references/background check, and answering questions, sometimes also confirming culture/values. Finally, they send a written offer with title, level, base, bonus/equity, benefits, and start date, which you can review and negotiate before signing.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Can you provide an overview of your background?
Sales Planning Manager
The hiring process was pretty smooth and the team was responsive initially. It consisted of about 4-5 rounds. After completing all the test tasks, the team became unresponsive regarding the outcome. I suspect they were trying to understand how other companies conduct their processes and then implement similar strategies with their existing team. They also requested extra tasks after the final round, which seemed unnecessary, leading me to believe their intention was to gather information rather than genuinely hiring someone.
- Complete 3 initial test tasks.
- Complete another test task after your final presentation.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
The interview process is quite detailed and well-structured, with excellent support throughout. They put a lot of effort into understanding candidates, which really highlights the company culture. I went through the process a few weeks back and was impressed by the company's global presence and future direction. It started with a recruiter call, followed by a role-play exercise with the Talent Acquisition Lead, a CBI, and a brief case study. While it's comprehensive and takes time, I found it all quite engaging. They maintained clear communication and set expectations throughout, which I found very helpful. I ultimately withdrew because I accepted another offer, but I came away with a very positive impression of their hiring approach – completely professional.
- Tell me about your experience recruiting for Go-To-Market hires, detailing the specific profiles you've handled, effective search strategies you've employed, and any difficulties encountered.
- Given their emphasis on detail and high standards, please provide examples that showcase these qualities in your recruitment approach for GTM hires.
Business Development Manager
The interview process at iDeals was pretty organized and had a few stages. It started with HR reaching out, and we quickly set up an initial chat. That first meeting was mostly about the company and what the job needs. Then, I met the Hiring Manager and did a cold call simulation. I had to call an analyst who knew another VDR service and get them to agree to a lunch meeting. For the next step, there was a task: I needed to create a presentation and, in a role-play, sell the benefits of iDeals. After that, I had a nice 30-minute get-to-know-you call with the VP of Sales. The final stage was a detailed Competency-Based Interview (CBI) with the Talent Acquisition Manager. This involved using specific examples from my past work to show how I've handled different situations. Even though I didn't end up getting an offer, I learned a lot from the whole thing. I really appreciated the Talent Acquisition Manager; they were great at organizing everything and understanding when things needed to shift. They even offered a detailed feedback session after the rejection, which was super helpful. I got valuable insights on areas where I can improve. Their professional and respectful approach really made the process a positive experience overall.
- Could you discuss the features of iDeals and what makes it stand out from other VDR providers?
- Demonstrate your ability to cold call an analyst who is already familiar with a competing VDR provider and schedule a follow-up lunch meeting.
- Create and deliver a presentation, including a role-play, to showcase the advantages of using iDeals.
