I applied on their careers page and got a screening call two weeks later. Then, the first interview was scheduled a month after that. The first round was a technical interview for about an hour. We talked about an agentic AI application I built, specifically how I used vector DB and cross encoders. It ended with two coding problems, and some generative AI and LLM questions. The second round was a managerial interview where we discussed several topics to check how deeply and broadly I know about the technology. They asked about Python, async processing, FastAPI, API optimization and security, Langgraph, and AI. The third and final round was an HR interview, which was casual. They wanted to know how much I know about Garrett and if I'd be a good fit by evaluating my purpose and intent for joining the team. I got the offer confirmation later that day, and the offer was released a week later. The whole process was very smooth.

Technical Behavioral

The interview process had three parts: a technical round, an HR round, and then a final talk with the Director of Finance. It was all very organized and professional. The technical part checked my main skills and what I've done. The HR part was friendly and told me about the job, what they expect, and the company vibe. The last chat with the finance director was great, felt more like a real conversation, and they were really nice and encouraging. Everyone was polite and professional. The whole thing felt smooth and positive, and I felt valued.

They started with some basic thermodynamic calculation questions. After I answered, they showed the results. Even though I explained everything properly, they didn't give an offer or any explanation. I didn't think it was a proper approach. (I voted neutral because it was an interview experience, at least :) )

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Basic questions about thermodynamics.
  • Can you explain the refrigerator-heat pump cycle?
