First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Future Group.
Quality Assurance Engineer
The interview process was really interesting and valuable. It started with a phone call where I did a self-introduction and discussed role responsibilities. Then, there was a technical interview covering everything related to quality assurance, including a case study and an English test. Finally, there was an HR interview, but unfortunately, the HR person didn't provide any feedback.
- Do you hold any relevant certifications?
Interpreter
The interview was on zoom, but we only used audio and they recorded from the start. I didn't understand how I would be paid from the first conversation. They said they had two options: per hour or per minute of call. I asked if I wouldn't be paid if there were no calls, but they didn't clarify that, just said the payment method changes based on business needs.
- How would you communicate difficult news to a patient?
- Could you tell me about your background?
Software Engineer
It was a campus recruitment drive for LDCE students at the company premises. First, there was a written test, and about half the students were selected. Then, the selected candidates were interviewed based on their written test marks, with those having the highest marks given more preference. The interviewer was very experienced and really dug deep into everything. Following that, there was an HR round, which was only for those who passed the technical interview. This HR round was fairly simple, much like in every other company.
- What questions were asked regarding Data Structures?
- Can you elaborate on the Java questions you received?
- What specific questions were posed about Unix?
SAP PI Consultant
So I got a call directly from the Future Group HR in Ahmadabad, who asked me about my professional history, skills, and current salary. After that, he set up a Skype interview with the A.G.M., who is the SAP Practice Lead. He was really nice and a highly educated guy from a top Indian college. He asked me questions on Java, Oracle, Web-services, SAP PI, and XML. I found it to be a very open process; I asked him about the company and the job, and he answered everything very honestly. Then he said the HR would follow up. I heard back from the same HR person, and she sent my profile to the Mumbai HO HR. She contacted me and arranged an interview with the HOD. I traveled from Pune to Mumbai. She called me, gave me directions to the location, and was very kind, polite, and helpful. She explained the whole process and directed me to the HOD's office. Finally, I met him. He also asked about my personal and professional background and technical questions related to SAP PI and Java. He was very polite throughout the interview. He then mentioned that the HR would be in touch. I waited for about an hour, and then the HR came for the final discussion. She informed me that I was selected for the role. Two days later, they sent the offer with a good package.
- Can you tell me about your Java knowledge, including OOPS, Exception handling, Multi-threading, and Collections?
- What's your experience with Oracle, specifically Procedures, Functions, and Queries?
- What do you know about SAP PI, such as Adapters, Mapping, Web-services, XML, Parsing techniques, and JSON?
