Interpreter
The interview was on zoom, but we only used audio and they recorded from the start. I didn't understand how I would be paid from the first conversation. They said they had two options: per hour or per minute of call. I asked if I wouldn't be paid if there were no calls, but they didn't clarify that, just said the payment method changes based on business needs.
- How would you communicate difficult news to a patient?
- Could you tell me about your background?
Spanish Interpreter
The whole process took a bit. I submitted my resume and heard back about 8 days later. They sent a link to schedule an interview. It went well. I started by introducing myself, like a video resume, then the recruiter explained the job and company. After some email exchanges, we confirmed everything, and then there was training.
- What are your intentions for this role?
Interpreter
So first, you gotta introduce yourself, like your name, how old you are, what you studied, and how long you've been interpreting. Then, they'll ask you some stuff about when you're free, your education, and which languages you know. Lastly, we'll lock in dates for when you can get trained and check if you have a laptop and headset to use.
- How do you handle difficulties in your work, and what steps do you take to overcome them?
