First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FHI 360.
Project Assistant
The process was well-organized. HR was helpful throughout. The interview stage involved a panel of three people, one of whom was from HR. It began with a phone screening, then progressed to an in-person comprehensive interview where they assessed my technical skills and overall relevant experience.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your motivation?
- What is your experience working on particular project themes?
Technical Officer
The interview had two parts. First, I spoke with HR about my personality, strengths, and why I want this Technical Officer job. They wanted to know my values, work ethic, and if I fit the company's mission and culture. Then, a technical person from the clinical service unit asked about my experience in the HIV service unit. We discussed my roles, responsibilities, challenges like ART adherence, loss to follow-up, and stigma, and how I work with different teams. They also asked how my clinical background could help with technical aspects of service improvement and program delivery. It was about checking my technical knowledge and if I'd fit, especially moving from clinical work to technical support.
- What makes you want to join FHI360?
Program Officer
I had an unprofessional experience during the initial application review stage. I got an email from an FHI 360 recruiter about 2 weeks after applying for the Program Officer II position asking me to complete a questionnaire with about 4 questions. I followed up with the recruiter the next day to send my completed document, but I was completely ghosted and never received an update regarding next steps. This is the second time this has happened after applying for a different position over a year ago.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Program Associate
We had a video interview with HR, which was mostly behavioral questions about why I'm interested in the role and what skills I bring. This lasted about 30 minutes. Then, there was a panel interview with the hiring manager and another team member that went for an hour. Finally, I received a one-hour assessment via email to check my writing and professional skills.
- What's a weakness of yours?
- Tell me about your interest in this position.
- What skills do you possess that would be beneficial for this role?
