Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FHI 360.
Program Associate
We had a video interview with HR, which was mostly behavioral questions about why I'm interested in the role and what skills I bring. This lasted about 30 minutes. Then, there was a panel interview with the hiring manager and another team member that went for an hour. Finally, I received a one-hour assessment via email to check my writing and professional skills.
- What's a weakness of yours?
- Tell me about your interest in this position.
- What skills do you possess that would be beneficial for this role?
Program Associate
I got a call from HR for an initial interview. Then, a few days later, I had to meet with 2 interviewers. The week after that, I had a second round with 2 different people.
- Can you share an instance where you didn't meet expectations and how you dealt with it?
Associate Director
I applied through an employee referral and also spoke with a recruiter at a career fair. An online application was also required. First, there was a phone screen with a team member, followed by a chat with the hiring manager. This part moved quickly, taking about two weeks. Then, I had an in-person interview. The next stages would have been a panel interview with three FHI team members, but I didn't advance past that. Overall, the process was quite straightforward, efficient, and didn't drag on.
- What is your definition of a bad strategy?
