I applied for the Project Manager Manufacturing role in Hamburg in December 2024. About two months later, the HR representative contacted me via email to schedule the first interview. He offered four time slots for an online interview, and I picked one that was only 30 minutes after he sent the email. Two days later, he emailed again to say we needed to reschedule because the slot I chose was already taken. I replied with another option. I got ready for the interview, but he didn't show up. I asked him about it but didn't hear back for five days. He then offered another four slots. I chose one an hour after he emailed me. He replied that the slot was already taken and offered a different one, which I accepted. The day before the interview, he rescheduled it again for later the same day (this was the fourth time). Finally, a month after he initially reached out, we had the interview with the HR representative, the Hiring Manager, and myself.

A year ago, I went through the whole selection process with the Essity team. After passing 3 interviews, almost 2 months went by, so when they sent me the offer, I had cooled down. I rejected the offer because my situation was complicated. Recently, I saw that they still had a position available and I applied again. However, this time they didn't want to interview me. I find it very unprofessional that they don't even want to interview me again. Their response is that I was already in the selection process. I wouldn't like to work at a company like that. Zero recommendation, 3-year-old mentality.

The hiring process felt a bit slow with delays in getting feedback. It also involved a significant amount of preparation for the final stages, and the overall process wasn't the smoothest. It was a three-part process: first, a call with Talent Acquisition, then a Teams meeting with two hiring managers and TA. The last interview was an in-person panel at Dunstable HQ, lasting 1.5 hours, which included a 30-minute presentation and Q&A. Just a heads-up, they didn't cover my travel costs, so I ended up spending over £200 on flights and taxis, plus I had to take a day off. Glad I didn't get the job in the end.
