Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Essity.
Management Trainee
The interview process was quick and efficient. I received a response shortly after applying, letting me know I was moving forward. It started with submitting my resume and cover letter, then an online pre-recorded video interview, and finally an in-person interview at their office.
- In what ways do your personal values match our company's values?
Manager
Recruiter call about availability, salary expectations, and why ESSITY. Then, a call with a manager about your background, motivations, and experience, followed by a call two weeks later. Finally, a call with an N+2 who presents different challenges than the N+1.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Why did you apply to ESSITY?
Governance Manager
The interview process started with a CV screening. Then there was an inductive reasoning and numerical test which was timed but not too difficult if you were fast and attentive. Next, I had a video interview that I recorded at home, with 7 questions, including one in German, asking about my motivation for Essity and the graduate program, and my skills. After that, I had a 1.5-hour face-to-face interview which was structured and involved 3 interviewers asking common behavioral and situational questions. They mentioned the final step was an interview with HR and the manager, but I didn't make it that far. Surprisingly, they called me back to give me feedback on why I wasn't selected, which I found very valuable. Overall, my experience with Essity and their team was very positive because of this feedback and the interview procedure.
- Why are you interested in Essity and this graduate program?
- What are your key strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell us about a recent failure and the lessons you took away from it.
