First I was contacted by an head hunter. Then, a ~90-minute conversation with the division head and the office head. Questions were more experiential (description of past projects, expectations for the new job) than technical.

Behavioral Technical

A year ago, I went through the whole selection process with the Essity team. After passing 3 interviews, almost 2 months went by, so when they sent me the offer, I had cooled down. I rejected the offer because my situation was complicated. Recently, I saw that they still had a position available and I applied again. However, this time they didn't want to interview me. I find it very unprofessional that they don't even want to interview me again. Their response is that I was already in the selection process. I wouldn't like to work at a company like that. Zero recommendation, 3-year-old mentality.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process involved four rounds. It started with an HR call, followed by two interviews with managers, and concluded with a director interview. In between, I had to complete an exercise or case study on my own time. The interviews were scheduled very quickly, and I was asked to be as available as possible since some managers were going on holiday around Christmas. The interviews went really well, and it was strongly suggested that an offer would be extended. The HR also confirmed the positive feedback but mentioned they'd get back after the holidays. When January came, communication slowed down, and I had to reach out multiple times for updates. Each time, the HR said they hadn't received a final decision, despite the positive feedback. Towards the end of the month, I was informed that an internal candidate was selected. I suspect I was used as a backup in case the internal candidate didn't work out. I was also disappointed by the lack of respect for my time and transparency, especially since I made an effort to be available and completed the exercise. Overall, despite positive interactions with the managers, the recruitment process was very disappointing.
