Applied and went through a screening interview, then an assessment centre, and finally some interviews. The process wasn't too tough, and the cases were pretty straightforward, focusing a lot on what Elixirr does. I didn't get past the AC though – they said I didn't compete enough with the others and didn't push my ideas enough. It sounds like they prefer really competitive people over ones who like to work together.

The first interview is a short 15-minute call. It mainly covers why you're interested in consulting, why Elixirr specifically, and what makes you a good fit. You'll also have a chance to ask your own questions. If you do well in this call, you'll move on to an assessment centre. If you pass that, there's a final interview.

I applied online and heard back about a month later. The first round was with HR. It went okay until I asked about the negative online reviews for Elixirr and how they're being handled. The interviewer got defensive and blamed a different region, which was a red flag. Then I had to prep and give a presentation in person within 24 hours. After that, HR suggested I might be a better fit for a business analyst role, and I agreed to continue. HR started contacting me on WhatsApp and calling unexpectedly, which felt unprofessional given our previous email communication. Later, in two more interviews with partners/managers who were either late or unprepared (like not having read my CV) and couldn't answer questions about diversity and how it's being addressed, I eventually got an email after chasing them multiple times saying the role requirements changed and they no longer needed a BA. My follow-up emails asking for more feedback or clarification have been ignored. There were several red flags throughout the Elixirr interview process; putting candidates through this without a clear role need is a waste of everyone's time.

I then applied again the next year and got through the first few stages, but they told me they weren't looking for graduates because it's unfair to final year students, which I didn't understand. Everyone I talked to seemed really unprofessional and strange, unlike my experiences at other consulting firms. I'd recommend looking elsewhere, especially after reading other negative reviews.
