& Process

We'll start with a quick chat to go over your background and experience. Then, you'll go through two assessments to check out your skills, and also do a presentation. Finally, you'll meet with the director for the last interview.

I applied on LinkedIn and it looked like it was going well at first with Angela. We had a quick online chat that seemed good. Then she asked me to make a 3 minute video about why I wanted to work with EIMs, after I watched a really long company video. I sent it off on April 18th. That's when things went bad. I didn't hear anything back from Angela, so I kept asking for updates every few weeks, even though she was active on LinkedIn. It was really disheartening after doing a big task and not even getting a 'no thanks' or an explanation for the delay. After more messages, Angela finally replied on June 26th, saying she had health issues. I get that, but it's weird they didn't tell me to expect a delay or have someone else handle it in a big company, especially since she was still posting on LinkedIn. The fact that no one managed the hiring process while she was sick is wild. She then said 'Just to let you know, we were looking to fill in the requirements few weeks ago but since we are working with clients, we would not be able to move forward to offering candidates without their approval.' No clue what that means. Her profile then changed so no one could message her. I'm not mad at Angela, just shocked by how badly they handled everything. A quick message would have been enough. I definitely don't recommend EIMs, they seem to not care about applicants or have a proper hiring process.

I was contacted by 3 recruiters. The first recruiter scheduled a call, but never called. They rescheduled, and again, no-show, then ghosted. The second recruiter called and the interview went okay, though it felt very scripted and impersonal. She wanted to move me to the next step and sent an email with an assessment. Before I could respond, she wanted to move me to an interview for a Team Assistant Manager role instead and blocked the SDR process. She said another recruiter would contact me, but after 2 days, no one did. I contacted her again, and she told me to email her coworker. I emailed the coworker, but got no response. After a week, she finally responded to my third email. The third recruiter was enthusiastic and wanted to schedule a call. I gave her my availability, but she never responded.

I talked with the chief talent manager, and it totally changed how I felt about this job, leading me to decline the offer. He was 15 minutes late, kept coughing on the mic, and mocked my way of speaking. He even joked about HR needing to take guns away from the office because he'd shoot everyone. He mostly talked about himself and his own hard work, and he complained about university students. He told me to give just one week's notice to my current employer, saying 'make it work.' He repeatedly asked if I was ready to 'enter the jungle' (the real world). He spoke for almost 2 hours and also questioned why I didn't attend a recruiting event I wasn't invited to and why I wasn't doing the interview at their local office, even though it was 9 pm and I wouldn't have access as a non-employee. I turned down the offer, and after seeing other reviews, I think I really avoided a huge problem. Don't work here.
