Product Marketing Manager
The interview experience was really smooth and well-organized, with a diverse group of team members involved. The recruiter, Brandi, was very upfront and helpful throughout our conversations. It was clear the team is passionate about making a real impact and innovating, which came across during the entire process. The steps included a recruiter screening, a meeting with the hiring manager, a panel interview with the head of PMM, ABM, and product, and a take-home assignment where I had to create and present a landing page to the panel. I have to commend the Drift team for their effort in trying to meet my salary expectations and providing a clear picture of the role. Although we couldn't finalize the offer terms, I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with such great people.

Solution Consultant
Overall it was an excellent interview experience. It started with the internal recruiter who was super informative, gave me a ton of info and could answer all my initial questions. After that, there were rounds of intros with senior members of the team and others in the business unit. The final part was a demo/presentation. Everything was clear, nothing to trip you up, they were genuinely trying to see if I'm a fit for the company and the skills I have.

Senior HR Generalist
So I had this recruiter screen which was pretty great. The recruiter was super knowledgeable and friendly. They mainly asked me one job-related question and then one about my salary expectations. It felt really chill and they made a great first impression. Right after, I got scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager. That interview was a totally different vibe. The hiring manager was really stiff and didn't seem engaged from the start. Whenever I answered a question, using the STAR method so I'm usually pretty detailed, she'd ask another question about my answer. This was weird because I felt like I had already answered it in my initial response. It made me think she wasn't listening or was intentionally trying to trip me up, which it did because it was so strange and intimidating, and I didn't know what else to say that I hadn't already said. I didn't want to repeat myself, so I stumbled trying to come up with more context to my answer. When I got to ask her questions, her answers were pretty generic. I asked about how she embodies the company values, and she asked me to specify which value I was referring to. I tried to say something like any value she loves or all values. It seemed like she either didn't know the company values or just couldn't answer the question, because her response was very general. She cut the call short after I asked two questions, saying she had another call, even though I had more questions. The whole interview felt like an interrogation, which is something I've never experienced before, especially in tech. I followed up with the recruiter about a week later, asking for an update, but I think they've ghosted me. This is a very different experience from what I saw on their website and other resources about their hiring process and culture. I was really stoked about this job, but it seems like they need to train their hiring managers to be more approachable and conduct interviews without making candidates feel like they're being interrogated.

Customer Advocate
The interview process was really great! Right from the start, the lead recruiter chats with you, and it feels like a real conversation to learn about you and your background. They give you encouraging feedback and support throughout the whole process! It really felt like I had the chance to interview them back, just as much as they were interviewing me. Everyone I talked to was encouraging, insightful, and genuinely nice. With each subsequent interview, my excitement to join the company grew, especially after realizing how much they focus on ensuring your success! It's hard to put into words how joyful the experience was!
