UI/UX Designer
The interview focused on understanding my process, how I work in a team, and my ability to collaborate and incorporate feedback. It felt more like a casual conversation, and I felt comfortable throughout. It's a good idea to be ready with your answers. Just be confident when you speak.
- Tell me about your feedback process and how you collaborate with a team, and your general design process.
- How do you handle feedback and work with others on a team, as well as your design process?
Orientation Leader
As an Orientation Leader for the Global Gateway Program, you'll be helping new students settle in. This means giving them advice, answering their questions, and generally making them feel welcome. You'll also be involved in setting up and running orientation sessions, activities for cultural exchange, and some team-building stuff to help the students get to know each other and get used to things.
- Can you share your experience with leadership?
- Tell me about a time you handled a conflict.
- How do you approach working with a team?
Office Assistant
First, we'll review resumes to see if you have the right background. Then, we'll have a quick phone chat to check out your communication and organizing skills. If that goes well, we'll meet up in person to see how good you are with office software and juggling tasks. Finally, we'll do some reference checks to make sure you're reliable and a team player.
- Can you tell me about your background in doing office admin stuff?
- When you've got a lot of deadlines, how do you figure out what to do first?
- What office management software and tools do you know how to use well?
Associate Director, Title IX Coordinator
I had my first interview with the HR rep and it went great. She said she'd set up an interview with the hiring manager and that I was a perfect fit. She even offered to speed things up if I got an offer. Then, about a week later, I got an automated rejection email. I was confused so I asked HR for feedback and she just said, "You didn't have enough experience."
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What are your salary requirements?
- Are you currently considering other job opportunities?
