First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Creative Artists Agency.
Account Manager
The interview process was really straightforward. It had 3 rounds in total, and one of those included presenting back a task. I started with a call with HR, then spoke with the hiring manager, and the final round was with the rest of the team. I really liked meeting everyone and the whole process went well, though it did take a few weeks after the interviews for them to extend the offer.
- Can you tell us about your experience in this specific industry?
Intern
I had two rounds of interviews and the overall process felt smooth and straightforward. The first round was with a recruiter over Zoom and focused on my background, interest in the role, and general fit. It was conversational and covered typical screening questions like past experience, why I was interested in the company, and long-term goals. The second round was also via Zoom and was with two agents. This interview went a bit deeper into my relevant experience and how I handle fast-paced environments, multitasking, and communication with clients or talent. They asked mostly standard behavioral questions and a few situational ones about problem-solving and prioritization. The tone was professional but not intimidating.
- In what ways does your background align with the requirements of this position?
Executive Assistant
I went through 5 rounds of interviews, even though I was originally told there would only be 4. The extra interview made me feel optimistic, but it didn't lead to an offer. The final interview was presented as a casual chat, which is confusing now since they were still deciding. The job duties changed midway through the process, and they postponed their decision. Looking back, these seem like red flags I missed because I was so eager about the job. It was a bit unprofessional to get a rejection email after five rounds and meeting several people in person, but I guess that's common with large companies.
- What are your thoughts on the entertainment industry?
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
- What aspects of this role appeal to you?
Art Director
I had a 40 min preliminary interview via Google Meet. It was pretty standard, asking about my experience and to talk about my past work and projects. They also asked why CAA, and if I had worked with fortune 500 companies or had experience with them. The interviewer was friendly, and engaged in open conversation about passions in the space. The interview went well, however I did not hear from the recruiter on next steps and was ghosted. It turns out, they put the position on freeze and realized they needed the role to be in NYC which happens.
- Could you explain your interest in CAA?
- What's your background with Fortune 500 companies?
