The hiring manager contacted me 3 days after applying to set up an interview, skipping the recruiter. Near the end of the interview, the manager admitted they were likely hiring internally but then asked if I could work part-time. I agreed, and they said they'd contact me when the part-time role opened, but then they ghosted me, wasting 30 minutes. During the interview, they also mentioned I'd be fired if I didn't meet sales goals for universal bankers. Overall, a terrible and pointless experience.

Technical Coding

The interview was handled by Karat, a third-party company. It started with a series of technical questions, then moved on to coding questions. While not overly difficult, I tend to work at a slower pace and could only complete the first part, which likely led to not getting the offer. The interviewer was friendly, though their strong accent occasionally made it challenging to understand them.

First, there's a quick phone call to see if you're still interested, talk about your background, and check if you're a good fit. Then, you'll have a 30-minute Zoom chat where they'll dig more into your experience, skills, and what motivates you, likely with some behavioral and basic technical questions. The last part is the Super Day, which is a bunch of interviews back-to-back with different team members. You'll have a technical interview focusing on your problem-solving, analytical skills, and knowledge related to the job, and they'll also see how you fit with the team and company culture.
