First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Charles River Development.
Officer
It was a technical round and a managerial round. Pretty relevant questions were asked, and I got a one-to-one explanation about the company. Overall, it was a good experience. I don't really know what else to add here; it needs to be at least 30 words.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Do you have experience with SQL databases?
Product Support Specialist
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn about a few roles and wanted to schedule a call. We talked on the phone about a Product Support Specialist job that needed SQL and customer service skills. I said I was interested, and she set up an interview with the hiring manager. The call with the manager went fine. They asked basic questions about my background and some about relational databases. I followed up a week later to ask about next steps. The recruiter said she'd check with the manager and get back to me. I never heard back. When I followed up again, her LinkedIn profile was gone, making me think she blocked me. Her profile later reappeared, but she still didn't reply. It was a weird and unprofessional process overall. Ghosting candidates after an interview shows no respect for their time or effort.
- Can you describe your customer interaction experience?
- What's your background with relational databases?
Business Analyst
The interview process involved an initial screening with HR, followed by two main rounds. The first round was with the hiring manager, which went really well and I felt I could make a significant contribution. After receiving positive feedback from the hiring manager, I was scheduled for a team round. This round felt off; the two interviewers seemed disengaged and possibly intimidated by my profile, leading to a very brief 15-minute interaction with no skill-based questions. I was disappointed to later learn they had hired someone else and only received a generic rejection after persistent follow-up. I had high hopes for this role and had turned down other opportunities.

Consultant
The process included three interviews: a phone screen, a video chat with a consultant, and then a video chat with the hiring manager. The first two interviews went great, but the hiring manager was uninterested and vague, even mentioning he was focused on retirement. He provided no timeline for feedback. After that, the recruiter became unresponsive. Two weeks later, after I left a voicemail, I got an automated rejection email. It felt like they weren't serious about hiring me.
