First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canon U.S.A..
CMOS Technical Specialist
It was pretty straight forward. They were more concerned about my people skills than technical skills. I interviewed with 2 people, a Director and a manager and they talked about my experience and what I was looking for.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What are you looking for in a position?
- Can you describe a situation where you faced a challenge and how you overcame it? (STAR method)
Client Service Representative
The whole thing took about three months from when I applied to getting the offer. First, I had a call with the recruiter. Then, I did a Zoom interview with the hiring manager, and after that, another Zoom interview with a senior manager. Each interview lasted between 15 and 30 minutes and was pretty easy, mostly asking about my experience. Everyone was really nice and professional. Canon does a really thorough background check, so just be honest, that's what they really care about. It was a long process, but it was simple and they told me everything clearly.
- Could you tell me about the systems you've worked with?
Account Executive
Canon USA's interview process was pretty buttoned-up. First, I chatted with a recruiter on the phone. Then, there were two more interview rounds. The first one was with the hiring manager, focused on my past behaviors. The second round was a panel interview where I met with people from different teams. Everyone was really nice and knew their stuff, asking good questions about my skills and if I'd fit in. It all happened pretty fast, maybe 2-3 weeks from applying to hearing back.
- Can you share an instance where you had to mend a business relationship?
Order Management Representative
The hiring process lasted for about two weeks. It started with an initial conversation with HR. Following that, I had a second interview with the team lead and the manager. The final step was a third interview with two senior management folks. Everyone I met was really professional and also quite friendly. The talent acquisition manager was helpful and provided feedback after each interview.
- Can you tell me about your previous job or your understanding of it?
- What does success mean to you?
- How do you handle multitasking?
