First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canon U.S.A..
Field Service Technician
I received an email at 12:37 am from a Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist who used my diminutive first name and sent a useless PDF to review before a phone interview at 4:30pm. The PDF didn't explain much more than the job description. I cancelled the interview because of the inappropriate email time and the misuse of my name. Unprofessional.

Field Service Technician
After applying, they called me and I went to the interview. I drove there, parked my car, and went inside. I sat down and waited to be called in. While I was waiting, they asked me if I would like a coffee.
- Hello, how are you today?
Field Service Technician
First, a recruiter reached out and we chatted about my past work history. Then, we scheduled a phone interview. After the phone interview, which also covered my past experience, I was contacted a few days later to set up an in-person interview. The face-to-face happened at their offices. It was a friendly vibe, clean and quiet place. There were three interviewers with me. I wore business casual. They asked about my previous work, customer care skills, how I troubleshoot issues, and general questions on managing unhappy customers.
- Were there any questions that were particularly challenging or unexpected?
