First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canon U.S.A..
Sales Representative
It was a two step process one quick call over zoom then the following meeting with two additional sales managers on the team. It lasted about 50 minutes and was very in depth.
- Imagine you are at a trade show and have 50,000 pens to sell. Three people approach you; how do you make the sale?
- What aspects of telephone sales do you find appealing, and what aspects do you dislike?
- After listening to this difficult call recording of an upset customer complaining about a broken camera battery, how would you have handled the situation?
Sales Supervisor
The interview process involved straightforward questions, not really behavior-based ones. The recruiter was great and very informative. The hiring managers were not as engaging or welcoming as the recruiter. Overall it was an ok experience.
- Can you tell me about the systems you have experience with?
Sales Representative
I was contacted by HR and had an initial chat with them about my background and if I was a good fit. Then, I talked to the hiring manager about the job and what they expected. After that, I had to do an in-person business presentation to show them my skills, how I solve problems, and how I communicate.
- Can you give examples of your problem-solving skills?
