First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Buro Happold.
Analyst
I experienced a technical glitch with the Teams invitation for the interview, but they clarified questions about my previous roles and resume, which was helpful and made me feel more comfortable. The last question they asked was really interesting and made me think. Overall, my interview with Buro Happold was a good experience.

Sustainability Manager
When you apply at Buro Happold, the process usually goes like this: First, you submit your application with your CV and cover letter. Then, the recruitment team screens the applications. If you're shortlisted, you'll have an interview. This might be over the phone or video call, and it's mostly to check your experience, technical skills, and if you fit with the company. Sometimes, you'll get a technical test too. If that goes well, there might be a second interview, especially for some jobs. This one's more in-depth, you'll probably meet senior people or your future colleagues, and talk about projects and challenges.

IT Support
It was a pretty standard interview process. I spoke with HR first and they sent me over to the IT department. What was a bit strange, and honestly a turn-off, was that they were looking for someone senior enough to handle executive support and also support several satellite offices, but they felt the position was too junior for me.

- What made you want to work for Buro Happold?
- What are your future career aspirations?
Ecologist Consultant
First, we had an informal chat about the role, my expectations from it, and what the job entails. After that, I was approved for a second, more formal meeting. This meeting covered competency and CV discussions. Everything was conducted over Teams because of time constraints, although it's typically done face-to-face.
