Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Buro Happold.
Infrastructure Engineer
I had an online interview with a senior and a graduate engineer. They asked me about 3-4 questions. I also asked them about a project the senior engineer was working on since I had researched it earlier and found it interesting. It turned out he was leading the project.
- Could you elaborate on your answers to the application questions?
Infrastructure Engineer
The interview process started with a presentation prep. I had to prepare a presentation about myself and an inspiring infrastructure project. The actual interview involved an initial chat with the interviewers, followed by my presentation and a discussion about it. The interview concluded with a chat about my future goals and what drives me. The whole thing took about an hour to an hour and a quarter.
- In 5 years, what is your career vision?
Infrastructure Engineer
First, they looked at my CV and cover letter. Then, I had a chat with two senior engineers. After that, I had to get ready a presentation about what I've achieved so far and my thoughts on global infrastructure challenges and a 5-year plan. This was followed by a general chat based on my presentation. It wasn't too tough.
- Can you tell us about a project you worked on?
