First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BPM.
Corporate Finance Associate
The interview process started with a 30-minute video call. During this call, we were asked several questions about why we want to join BPM, how we would analyze a company, our financial modeling background, and our future career goals. Additionally, questions about compensation and location preference were asked.
- Why are you interested in joining BPM?
- Can you explain your approach to analyzing a company?
- Could you detail your experience with financial modeling?
Assurance Intern
The interview involved behavioral questions, and I was asked about my reasons for choosing audit over tax. There weren't any specific technical questions or Excel exercises. It wrapped up about five minutes early, leaving time for me to ask questions.
- What makes you want to join BPM?
- Can you explain your preference for audit compared to tax?
Accountant
It took over 3 months and at least five interview rounds for this position. This felt like a total waste of time. I'm not sure if this is how interviews are normally done at smaller firms. I think it should only take 2-3 rounds to make a hiring decision.
- Regarding compensation, what are your salary expectations?
TA Coordinator
The interview process is efficient, starting with an initial screening, followed by interviews with the team. They are organized and maintain clear communication throughout each stage of the process. One of the standout aspects is their promptness in getting back to candidates, ensuring you’re never left wondering about your status. Overall, it's a smooth and professional experience from start to finish.
- Could you share the total number of individuals you've onboarded and detail your process for doing so?
