BDR
The interview process had 3 parts. The recruiter initially said that training was in-person, but after that, fully remote work was allowed and even encouraged. They also talked up the internal advancement opportunities. However, during the second interview, it became clear that the real expectation was to be in the office 4+ days a week. They mentioned that anyone working in the office less than that wouldn't be considered for promotion.
- After being told remote work was encouraged, how much do you value in-person collaboration?
Sales
First, there was an HR call where they asked about my motivation, my experience in my last role, how my skills align with the company, my cold calling experience, and my experience communicating across different teams. Then, I had to meet the regional manager for a role-play exercise. After that, I met with the director.
- Can you share your experience from your most recent job?
- How do you see your skills fitting in with our company?
- What's your background with making cold calls?
Software Engineer
First, I chatted with the recruiter about my background and what I'm looking for. After that, I had a technical front-end interview with two engineers. They asked me to build an application. I think I did okay, I managed to get a working app done, but unfortunately, I didn't get past it. No specific feedback was provided.
- Could you implement a memory game using either a JS framework or vanilla JS, following a provided demo app?
- From scratch, please code the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for this memory game.
- The game should present N x N cards in a grid, where N is adjustable by the user using a slider.
Frontend Engineer
The interview process was great overall. My recruiter was super helpful throughout and gave me detailed feedback after each stage, which helped me prep. They really focused on making sure I talked directly with the team I'd be joining, and everyone was welcoming, engaged, and helpful. There were 3 main stages: first, a recruiter call, then a hiring manager call that also included a technical screen with vanilla JS questions. Finally, an onsite with 4 separate rounds: two pair programming sessions, one system design discussion, and one deep dive into my past projects. The pair programming parts used vanilla JS or HTML/CSS, directly matching the job. These were like fun, unique puzzles to solve.
- Could you design a system for hotel bookings?
- How would you create DOM elements using vanilla JavaScript?
