First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Beyond Finance.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
I usually look at interview processes critically since I work in Talent Acquisition. But my experience with Beyond Finance was amazing from start to finish. The team showed me what a modern, candidate-focused process should be like, right from the first contact to the end. What stood out was how open they were about everything – company culture, what the role entails, and the department's future plans. It's pretty rare to get that kind of honesty so early. Also, everyone I met, peers and leaders, was really friendly. It felt more like a professional discussion than a tough interview. The whole process was organized and made sense; it’s clear Beyond Finance respects candidates' time. They really seem to prioritize people, not just in words but in how they hire. If you want a professional, open, and really warm team, I highly recommend them.
- How would you juggle ensuring a positive candidate experience while meeting aggressive hiring goals?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process had three stages. First, there was an initial call with a recruiter. Then, a second interview with a senior manager. Finally, a third interview with both a senior manager and a high-priority senior manager, which was for the HP department I ended up in. The first two interviews were over the phone, and the last one was on Zoom. It wasn't overly difficult, but the third interview was longer and involved more questions about how I would manage customer interactions and conversations.
- How would I deal with a customer who is threatening to leave the company?
Customer Retention Specialist
The interviewers were nice and said they'd be available and attentive. I got lots of texts and emails from the recruiter, so they were communicating well. I didn't get the job, which was okay, but I did ask my recruiter for feedback. I thought this was a fair request, especially since they said they 'wish me the best'. But the recruiter ghosted me and blocked me. It's weird that this is so common and it really made me feel bad about the company.
- Can you share your favorite book and explain your reasons?
Director of Strategy and Analytics
Started with a phone call with HR where I found out the job posting was a bit misleading. They were advertising for both a Director of Strategy and Analytics and a Manager of Marketing Analytics, which are very different career levels, and the role was listed as remote when it was actually hybrid. Even so, I decided to continue to a second interview with the hiring manager for the Manager of Marketing Analytics position. In that interview, the hiring manager seemed judgmental and found things on my resume amusing. This job (or a very similar one) is still up for grabs six months later.
