I have applied for this role 4 separate times in 2025. I initially got an interview for it but scheduling did not work out as it is an on site role. I recently applied again, received a notification to schedule an initial interview which I thought went very well. I was told that a short list of candidates for a follow up interview would be made within 2 days but I was not on that list. I have been rejected for roles in the past so that is not an issue. Where I take issue is that when I asked for feedback on why I was not moving forward, I was told on the day the role was to start training that it is their policy to not provide feedback “at this stage of the recruitment process” which makes no sense. I asked for feedback after I received the rejection letter. I was informed of this policy on the date the job was to start. I would not recommend working for this company.

Applied for a different role originally, but got a call saying it was filled and was offered an interview for the Responsible Gambling role instead. Had the interview a week later, which seemed to go well, and was told they'd be in touch in a few days. A week later, I got a call offering me an interview for the role, and they had completely forgotten I'd already interviewed, including the person who interviewed me. They then said I'd hear back by the end of the day, but I didn't hear anything for two weeks. When I asked for feedback, they said it was company policy not to give it. Felt incredibly unprofessional the whole time.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Group

So after you apply and send your CV, they'll set up a first interview, usually on Zoom. This is basically a screening call to learn more about you, your past team experiences, and your roles in previous jobs. If you get through that, you'll be invited to an assessment day at Bet365's main office in Stoke, which runs from 9 am to 5 pm. The day kicks off with a team activity where you have to place buildings in a city. Each building has conflicting interests, so you need to collaborate with other 'countries' to meet your task requirements. Following that, you'll either have an hour to prepare a presentation or take a math test, and then you'll have one-on-one interviews. (The group gets split, and you rotate between these activities). After lunch, you'll meet the team and then do another group task. This one involves prioritizing tasks, sharing your priorities with the group, and then reaching a group consensus on the order without voting.

Behavioral Technical

Had an initial call that was less than 30 minutes where they talked about the role and I gave a summary of my background. The role sounds interesting and I was excited to learn more. After that, I had a first stage interview with a manager. They asked about my experience and for a general overview of a project I worked on previously. The interview didn't go as well as I'd hoped, as I was told I wasn't using the STAR method for my answers. I understand STAR is common, but I felt the questions asked weren't really behavioral and didn't lend themselves to that method. I think the questions could have been phrased in a more behavioral way, or if they're going to ask closed-ended questions, they shouldn't expect STAR. I appreciate the feedback, and while I know interviews aren't my strongest point, I feel like both sides could have contributed more to make it a better conversation.
