I applied through LinkedIn. Since I was already with the company but not on a permanent contract, I couldn't use the internal mobility site. The interview happened on Teams between two meetings. Right away, the recruitment person explained that they preferred candidates from consulting firms over internal ones, without suggesting any names. They mentioned a family member who had the same training as me and suggested I either look into a consulting firm or try to stay in my current department. However, there are good reasons why I want to leave my current department! In the end, the interview was bizarre and served no purpose.
First, there was a phone call to see if it was a good fit. Then, the process continued with two more steps: one with HR and then one with the manager.
The hiring process generally involves three sequential interviews. The first is with HR to check motivation, background, and cultural fit. The second interview is with a manager, focusing more on technical and operational skills. Lastly, a third interview with HR aims to finalize the assessment, discuss contract details, and confirm mutual interest.
