Standard MAANG process. Had an initial chat with the recruiter. Then, there was a coding round using Leetcode-style problems and a system design round. The next steps were supposed to include an AI-assisted coding round and a cultural fit round. I received positive feedback from the recruiter via email, and they suggested I prepare for the upcoming stages, but then I was ghosted.
The interview process began with a recruiter screen. After that, I had discussions with both the Director and Hiring Manager, which was followed by a presentation to them. To wrap things up, there was a final 1:1 conversation with the Head of Sales. I have to say, the Apollo interviewing team, especially Heather, was fantastic. Her transparency and communication throughout the entire process were outstanding. Honestly, I've never had a better experience with a recruiter.
The hiring process felt really organized and open. It started with a recruiter chat, then a talk with the hiring manager. After that, there was a practical technical test and two interviews that were all about leadership stuff like managing people, making decisions, and working with other teams. Everyone I spoke to was ready and really into the conversation. The technical part felt like it was about real infrastructure problems, and the behavioral parts were about how I build teams, mentor senior engineers, and keep things reliable. It all happened pretty fast, maybe 2-3 weeks, and they kept me in the loop and made sure I knew what to expect.
