I talked to HR online about my background, how I am personally and what the job is. It was a good, friendly talk. But then I never heard back.
I applied straight on the Altair website, and HR reached out after three days to chat about my background and qualifications. The next thing was to present my profile to the final client (a Japanese OEM). But, after two weeks, I didn't hear back. It wasn't until three weeks later that I got an email saying the job I applied for was no longer available. Basically, I didn't get any updates from Altair HR, just automated emails. Also, you have to sign a paper saying you can't apply for that job with the customer or another outsourcing firm after you apply with Altair.
I had one interview round with three interviewers. It was all behavioral questions, nothing technical. They asked some general questions about leadership and teamwork problems. They also asked about my time management and school.
