The interview was in person with four people: the division director, application engineers, and HR. It lasted about an hour.
It was a three round interview process. The first two rounds were technical, focusing on projects I've worked on and my experience with them. The last round was a general discussion.
The interview process at Altair Engineering gave me a great chance to learn about the company's business model and discuss my background and interest. The interviewers were receptive to my questions, and provided immediate feedback about how I may fit within the team based on my experience.
