Marketing
I started off with a phone interview which was standard, then the next week was brought in for an in-person interview. I understood that the office was in Berkeley, which was fine, but since I live in San Francisco and the commute is about 40 minutes, I was disappointed that I stayed for the first interview for LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. I had explained that I would be happy to commute, but for me to travel almost an hour and a half to only stay there for 10 minutes was disappointing to say the least. For my second interview, I was taken to a nearby coffee shop by two sales executives. Unrelated to the interview process, this company COMPLETELY hides the fact that they are a door-to-door sales company. This is when I learned that this was a door-to-door sales job in which you sold AT&T products as well as cosmetic products. It was not at all what I expected. I was also told that the hours would be from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday - Saturday. Lastly, after the second interview, I was told that I would get a call back within the next two days confirming if I got the job or not. They also mentioned that if I didn't answer the phone call, they would offer the job to the next person on their list. I would NEVER recommend Zip, Inc to anyone looking for a job. Very shady company.
- Who would be the three people, dead or alive, that you'd want to have dinner with?
- Describe a situation where you were aggressive in pursuing something you desired.

Account Executive
First, we screen candidates for the position in a 20-minute interview. Then, there's a second interview where you'll learn more about the company, lasting 70 minutes. The second and third rounds happen back-to-back on the same day. After the third interview, where you'll have a last chance to sell yourself and any additional questions will be answered, you'll get a call later that day to find out if you got the job. You'll get a call later the same day after the first round to find out if you got the second interview. They are super clear about what you'll be doing and opportunities for growth. This is a great role for anyone wanting to advance quickly, get better at direct sales, and join the Zip team. Make sure to do your homework before interviewing! The people here are awesome! Don't hesitate to ask if you're unsure about anything.
- What's your understanding of the Law of Averages?
- Where in the world would you choose to go, and what's the reason behind it?

Client Relationship Consultant
It was a really nice and professional interview. The office had a great vibe and everyone was very friendly. I spoke with the manager about my current job and what I'm looking for next. After talking about my background, the manager was direct about the company and their needs. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I could ask questions freely. The manager answered directly, which was great. I got a call back! Then, I met with a senior trainer for over an hour. It was the best interview experience ever. We started by learning about her, then she focused on me. The interview clearly laid out the responsibilities and expectations. I had a chance to ask questions, but most were already covered. I left feeling very excited.
- Would you prefer being perfect but late, or on time but messy, and why?
- What motivated your choice of major and school?
- Can you name three activities you dislike?
Marketing Assistant
I submitted my application online and was contacted a few days later to schedule an initial interview. The recruiter let me know beforehand that it would be a short meet and greet, lasting about 20 minutes. That's pretty much how it went. I got a good overview of the company and discussed what I hoped to gain from a role. I was glad it wasn't a long interview since I wanted to confirm the position was a good fit for me before investing more time. I liked the positive energy and the quick pace. The manager I spoke with mentioned they'd be making calls about the position later that week. They said the second interview would be around 2 hours long. I'm really looking forward to hearing back!
- Could you tell me about your current role?
- What aspects of your current position do you enjoy?
- What would you change about your current role and what is the reason for that?
