Marketing
I started off with a phone interview which was standard, then the next week was brought in for an in-person interview. I understood that the office was in Berkeley, which was fine, but since I live in San Francisco and the commute is about 40 minutes, I was disappointed that I stayed for the first interview for LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. I had explained that I would be happy to commute, but for me to travel almost an hour and a half to only stay there for 10 minutes was disappointing to say the least. For my second interview, I was taken to a nearby coffee shop by two sales executives. Unrelated to the interview process, this company COMPLETELY hides the fact that they are a door-to-door sales company. This is when I learned that this was a door-to-door sales job in which you sold AT&T products as well as cosmetic products. It was not at all what I expected. I was also told that the hours would be from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday - Saturday. Lastly, after the second interview, I was told that I would get a call back within the next two days confirming if I got the job or not. They also mentioned that if I didn't answer the phone call, they would offer the job to the next person on their list. I would NEVER recommend Zip, Inc to anyone looking for a job. Very shady company.

I submitted my application online and was contacted a few days later to schedule an initial interview. The recruiter let me know beforehand that it would be a short meet and greet, lasting about 20 minutes. That's pretty much how it went. I got a good overview of the company and discussed what I hoped to gain from a role. I was glad it wasn't a long interview since I wanted to confirm the position was a good fit for me before investing more time. I liked the positive energy and the quick pace. The manager I spoke with mentioned they'd be making calls about the position later that week. They said the second interview would be around 2 hours long. I'm really looking forward to hearing back!
- Could you tell me about your current role?
- What aspects of your current position do you enjoy?
- What would you change about your current role and what is the reason for that?
Marketing Assistant
I sent in my application online and heard back from them with a call in 2 days for the first interview. The first round went pretty well, and they invited me for a second and final round. That also went well, and they extended an offer. However, I decided not to accept it because the working hours (11 am to 8 pm) and the pay weren't quite what I was hoping for.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- Do you have any questions related to marketing?
