Behavioral Other

This was one of the most awkward interviews I've experienced. The interview lacked professionalism and the responses to my questions were vague and showed limited knowledge. While the initial questions were straightforward, the concerns arose when I asked questions toward the end of the interview. The answers provided were unethical in nature and gave the impression that employees are viewed as replaceable rather than valued. As a result, I declined any potential offer. I am not willing to work for a company that does not prioritize or genuinely care about its staff.

First, I had a chat with the manager to set up an interview. Then, a second remote interview in English with the manager and the team, and I had to do an Excel test on my own. After that, a third call with the team coordinator to clear up any questions about the role. Finally, a confirmation call about the positive outcome of the interview. It was all done remotely via phone and Teams video calls.

So the whole thing started with a phone call with a recruiter. They were really nice and answered all my questions about YSL. We talked about my past jobs and what I could do for them. They really listened to me and made me feel comfortable from the start. After that, I went in for an in-person interview with someone from the YSL team. The store itself felt really fancy and welcoming, which was nice. I was asked about my fashion industry background, what I know about the YSL brand, and how I could help them keep doing well. The questions were tough but fair, and I felt like I could really show them what I know and how much I like the brand.

I went through two interviews for a comms role. First up was with the Europe Comms Director. We talked a lot about my ideas for the European market, like how I understand the local culture and what's trending. It was a good chance to show I can tailor messages for different European audiences while keeping things consistent overall. Then I spoke with the Global Comms Director. This chat was more about fitting local comms efforts into the big global picture. We covered how to keep messages aligned worldwide and how I can help boost the company's global presence, but still be mindful of local differences. These chats helped me show I've got the comms skills and can also work across cultures and link local goals to the main strategy.
