The interview process at Weebly was super organized and one of the best I've had. It's a standard phone interviews then an on-site interview where you do a project. This lets you see the company culture and them see if you're a good fit. The office was really cool, everyone was welcoming, and they had tons of employee perks, plus amazing free food! The project was a bit overwhelming at first and the time wasn't enough to finish it, but I tried my best. It's clear they want employees to succeed and grow, which is why I wanted to work there. It's the kind of company that really cares about its people.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It started with a 30 min phone chat with HR, then a 30 min phone chat with the hiring manager. After that, it was an on-site with key people and the team. Then there was a 2-5 day employment trial run before the offer. I felt like the hiring manager wasn't super experienced and seemed uncomfortable interviewing. Her questions were really generic and high-level. She couldn't really give me more details or clarify when I asked. It seemed like she wanted really specific answers, and if you weren't 100% on point, you were out. She's the hiring manager so she gets to decide who fits. I just don't think her interview style will attract good people. Good luck, Weebly.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process wasn't too difficult initially, but the onsite part was challenging as I might have been a bit underqualified. Familiarity with Weebly and its business model is crucial. While R/python was listed as a plus, it was clearly a requirement. Basic R was needed for the take-home quiz, but a much deeper understanding was necessary for the onsite, which I wasn't ready for. The onsite lasted three days and included a project alongside in-person interviews. Taking three days off work is inconvenient, but it was necessary. Everyone I met was very intelligent and friendly.

Behavioral Other

It was one 30 minute phone call, but it got rescheduled. The recruiter told me the interview would be about discussing the company more and learning about me. He offered to let me pick who went first. I told him to go first so I could ask questions if I needed more info. He talked for over 10 minutes about Weebly, which seemed like too much selling. I already knew a lot of it and felt like he should be letting me sell myself, not the company. He didn't ask standard questions like 'What do you know about Weebly,' 'What do you like about sourcing/recruiting,' or 'Why are you looking to change jobs.' Instead, he mainly asked 'What are you doing currently,' 'What roles do you source for,' and 'What have you done outside of Linkedin sourcing.' He finished exactly at the 30-minute mark and didn't ask if I had questions. He also called about 7 minutes late, so I didn't feel like I got the full time.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • What is your current role
  • What types of positions do you typically source for
  • Can you describe your experience sourcing candidates outside of LinkedIn
