Client Manager
I had a phone interview with an HR Manager. It went well and like others have noted below, I was their most qualified candidate that she has spoken with. A week later I had a great interview with the hiring manager. A day later I was given a test with a couple of work scenarios. I completed this and returned it to them. I waited a week and reached out. Found out the job description had changed dramatically. I no longer qualified. Terrible experience and waste of time.
- What three words would a manager use to describe you?
Customer Care Specialist
It was a phone interview and the recruiter asked me scenario questions, my availability, and what type of employment I was looking for. I got offered a job the same day as the interview. The equipment I needed for the job was sent to me a few weeks later and I started training.
- Describe how you would handle an angry customer who is yelling at you on the phone and deescalate the situation.
Data Scientist
I had a quick call with the recruiter, then chatted with the hiring manager to see if we'd vibe. After that, I had a technical interview with some of the team members, and then a skip-level interview. The whole thing was done in about two weeks. I felt good about it, but honestly, the recruiter just ghosted me after everything. It's been three weeks since the last interview, so I'm pretty sure they're not gonna offer me the job. Kinda unprofessional.
- Can you tell me about a specific section of your resume?
IT Manager
A 3rd party recruiter reached out about a job and told me to apply. My first interview was with two people at my level, and it went really well; we ran out of time even though we could've talked more. Then, the recruiter told me the salary was going down by $20k with no reason given. The hiring manager requested a second interview, but only offered one time slot. During the interview, my colleague stalled for time while the hiring manager showed up 10 minutes late. The HM asked a few basic questions, but it felt like they already picked someone else. A week later, the recruiter let me know the HM went with an internal candidate I hadn't heard of.
- Can you handle work in areas not mentioned in the main job description? Tell me about your experience in those other areas.
