I went through three interviews for this Account Executive role. After the interviews, I never heard back, which was surprising since I was told I was a top candidate. I tried reaching out to both the hiring manager and the recruiter, but got no reply, just complete silence.

First, there's a phone call with your direct manager to see if you both vibe. If that goes well, you'll have a panel interview where your supervisor, HR, and some Sales Directors will ask you tough questions. After that, you'll have a face-to-face meeting with your supervisor to see if they want to move forward, and then you'll meet with the VP of the region.

I spoke with the company recruiter, who was very nice and professional. I did well enough to be given an assessment that took about an hour. The recruiter got back to me saying I did extremely well, but they were considering other candidates and not moving forward at this point. I just heard what happened, this is the most ridiculous thing ever and they wasted my time with this assessment. I'm speechless! Then I was told they've been having trouble filling this position and had multiple recruiters working on it. It sounds like the sales manager doesn't trust the recruiters' judgment.
