First, a quick chat with the recruiter. Then, a 30-minute meeting with the hiring manager to go over my experience and skills. After that, a 30-minute talk with a sales enablement partner about sales training and resources. Next, a 30-minute discussion with the head of brand regarding narrative, market, and competitive insights. Finally, I had a short assignment on GTM strategy, which I then presented back to the hiring manager.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a pretty straightforward process, honestly the best I've ever been through. Normally interviews feel like they're trying to catch you out, but here I felt relaxed the whole time. A recruiter named Tiffany even coached me through every step, giving me feedback and tips for the next stage after each one, telling me what they were looking for and how to stand out. That personal touch really made me decide to accept the offer because Vendr clearly cares about its people and their success. The first stage was a casual chat with Tiffany to get to know each other and my interest in Vendr. The second stage was with the hiring manager, Ed, which was also very pleasant and focused on getting to know each other. The questions were standard, not tricky, just aimed at understanding me as a person and if I'd fit the culture. The third stage involved an email and cold call role-play, which I did with Ed, though it might vary. They provide a lot of support to help you succeed. The final round was with BDR Director Allison, another pleasant chat. It felt like a culture fit check, with questions similar to Ed's, but I think the goal was to see if she'd catch anything Ed and Tiffany might have missed.

I found the job posting on LinkedIn. The first interview was a phone screen with the recruiter, which went well. Next, I had a second interview with the supervisor, and that also went very well. The third interview was with someone who works closely with the procurement team, and I felt that went well too. Up until this point, communication was great – they were responsive and answered emails the same day. However, after the third interview, there was a two-day silence with no follow-up. I sent two emails asking about the next steps. Finally, I received a response that seemed like a generic, copied-and-pasted email stating they decided to move forward with other candidates whose experience was a closer match for the role. The weird part is, the stock email was for a completely different job than the one I applied for. I replied asking for clarification but never received an answer. The whole process felt disorganized and unprofessional, especially since they moved me through three rounds if my experience wasn't a good fit.

Super fast interview process - they're upfront in asking if you have any timelines you're working with for other interviews etc., and I had my interviews completed/offer in hand within 5 days. I had my first call with the recruiter on Monday, met with about 3 members of the team on Tuesday, asked to meet a couple more folks on the team on Wednesday, offer received on Thursday, signed on Friday. Super easy interview process, very high touch which was nice. Easy to connect with the recruiting team as I went through with questions so I wasn't left hanging.
